I can’t believe we are now in Season 4 of the podcast. I am so excited! This season I am bringing on some impressive guests to talk about their unique and amazing businesses that work to help and support business owners.

Today’s episode is such an interesting one. I am chatting with Sally Prosser who is a very intelligent and driven businesswoman. Her business supports business owners to feel confident and comfortable using their voice. 

Sally offers a 6 week voice makeover course for business owners. I think she is so amazing that I did the course myself! Interestingly, I found it so easy to speak in a courtroom but felt nervous speaking in front of a camera. I found the tips and tricks she taught me so incredibly helpful that I incorporated them into my own business. 

We discuss Sally’s experience working with me as her lawyer to incorporate a comprehensive set of legal documents, terms and conditions, and privacy policies into her business. She shares the best and worst advice she has ever been given, and what advice she would give her younger self. 

I encourage you to start reflecting on how you feel about your own voice and how you could use it more effectively in your business.

[7:04]: Sally encourages you to think about things as familiar or unfamiliar, instead of scary or not scary. The only way to make something familiar is to just do it!

[8:36]: Sally was a year into her business and didn’t have any terms and conditions on her website. I helped her build exactly what she needed and put it together for her to make the process easy and professional. 

[9:25]: Sending through a full legal agreement to big businesses helped her feel like she was professional and provided a service on the same level. 

[10:46]: Incorporating a contingency plan in the legal documents for coronavirus was very helpful for Sally. If her face to face workshops couldn’t be delivered due to covid, then it is rescheduled or performed online, not refunded. 

[13:50]: The best business advice Sally has received is that there is no destination. It is a rolling ball of challenges. 

[14:28]: The worst business advice was that she needed to delegate everything she wasn’t good at. For Sally, she felt much more confident when she learnt how to do something for herself.
