#42 We Don't Have to Do it All Alone

There is a common misconception amongst many business owners, women in particular, that we need to do everything ourselves. But it’s simply not true. You don’t have to go it alone.

There are so many options for support, from bookkeepers to graphic designers, which can completely uplevel your business. Personally, having a VA has been an absolute game changer and I couldn’t do what I do without the support from these valuable people in my corner.

I wanted to take the opportunity in this solo episode to talk about the importance of having the right people supporting you in your business.  I share how my business has changed incredibly with the help of some really amazing people and bring home the point that if you’re working smart, it won’t lead to burn out.

TOPICS DISCUSSED AND WHERE TO FIND THEM:

[1:15]: I’m absolutely determined to add value to my clients and business owners however I can. There’s so much more to my passion than just law.

[2:20]: I want to showcase real life examples of the practicalities of getting your legals in place but also that we don’t have to do it alone.

[4:30]: Working with a business coach is an absolute game changer

[5:25]: My bookkeeper and accountant have completely changed the dynamics of my business. I wouldn’t have been able to uplevel the way I have without them.

[6:00]: Having a copywriter and graphic/web designer as part of my team has been incredible. We think we need to do it all ourselves but if you don’t want to do it, you don’t have to.

[7:30]: Marketing consultants and social media support also provide amazing help. A VA is so valuable and can fit in with whatever you need in your business.

[9:00]: The support VA’s offer to meet the needs of business owners is amazing. It doesn’t have to be an employee hire, you can hire someone as a contractor.

[10:30]: I’ve published some really valuable articles on the resources page on my website that you can take advantage of

[12:00]: There’s a difference between working hard and working smart. If you’re working smart, it won’t lead to burn out.

Hi there! I’m the founder and head architect behind Creative Process Collective, as well as owner and designer over at January Made Design.  You can guarantee I will greet you with an over the top smile and talk your ears off about all things creative, small business and probably pets (everyone loves pets). Serial over-sharer on social media, you’ll be able to find me most days sitting at my trestle table working away with a green tea and surrounded by too many house plants and most likely a cat stretched across my keyboard.
